PROFILE | Hilary Sigman is a professor of economics at Rutgers University and a research associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER). She conducts research on the empirical effects of environmental policy.
Her current work, funded by grants from the National Science Foundation and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), focuses on the law and economics of brownfields, international water resources, and the environmental implications of decentralization of public policies. She has served on the Environmental Economics Advisory Committee of EPA’s Science Advisory Board and the Board of Directors of the Association of Environmental and Resource Economists.
