John V. Krutilla Early Researcher Fund

Named for the late John V. Krutilla, a renowned environmental economist who served as a senior fellow at RFF for most of his career, the Early Researcher Fund is intended to support young scholars who have been awarded a doctoral degree in the past five years.

The Krutilla fund was established with the generous support of the Krutilla family, Industrial Economics, Inc., and a number of John’s colleagues, friends, and former “students.” The focus of the award is research related to environmental and resource economics.

The John V. Krutilla Early Researcher Fund is currently supporting Camp Resources, an internationally known summer intensive workshop where the next generation of scholars present their work to each other, and to senior faculty and mentors from universities, government agencies, and think-tanks from around the country. Camp Resources is hosted by North Carolina State University.
