Krupnick on Trump's Regulatory Reform Order: Part Two

WASHINGTON—In a previous post, Resources for the Future (RFF) Senior Fellow Alan Krupnick was critical of President Trump’s “two-for-one” executive order mandating regulatory reform, under which two regulations would need to be eliminated for every new regulation issued. But the order at that time left open a number of important issues to be addressed by the director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). Last Friday, OMB issued a memorandum to address some of these issues and invited comments. In a new blog posted today, Dr. Krupnick explains why his concerns about this policy were only underscored by the memo.
