RFF Announces New VP for Communications

WASHINGTON—Resources for the Future (RFF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ross van der Linde as Vice President for Communications.

“Resources for the Future is a unique institution, widely respected for the quality of its research in the vital fields of the environment and energy,” van der Linde noted upon joining RFF. “I am proud to be a part of this extraordinarily talented assembly of scholars.”

RFF President Richard Newell added that he is “excited about the track record of digital and communications innovation that van der Linde brings to RFF. That is especially true in its support of our commitment to being the most trusted source of research insights and policy solutions leading to a healthy environment and a thriving economy.”

Van der Linde comes to RFF after serving as Communications Director for the technology-focused think tank New America. Originally from South Africa, he worked there as a researcher, press officer, and communications director in the country’s Parliament, and as a television journalist at eNCA, a 24-hour news channel.

He has a BA (Hons) in politics, philosophy, and economics from the University of Cape Town, and an MPA from Princeton University, with a concentration in US domestic policy.
