RFF President Richard Newell on Administration’s Revised Social Cost of Carbon and What it Means for Climate Policy

WASHINGTON—Richard Newell, President of Resources for the Future, has just posted a blog in which he walks through the Trump administration’s reasoning in support of its action today regarding the Clean Power Plan (CPP). Dr. Newell focuses on the administration’s revisions to the social cost of carbon (SCC). “The issues here are very technical, but have profound implications for US climate policy,” he notes.
