Ranking Global Concerns:
A Conversation with Bjorn Lomborg                                                                            Thursday, January 27, 2005

An RFF Forum

What are the world's key challenges for the 21st century -- and can they be prioritized? Dr. Bjorn Lomborg, author of The Skeptical Environmentalist and director of the Danish Environmental Assessment Institute, describes to an RFF audience priorities for responding to the top ten global crises facing the world today. Lomborg discusses the results from the Copenhagen Consensus, and how some of the world's top economists ranked needs for global spending to help poor countries. He argues that resources would be better spent investing in ending hunger and disease in developing countries than on climate change projects. What does this mean for the future of the climate change debate?
