Michael Zwirn comes to Resources for the Future with substantial experience in international and domestic environmental policy, fundraising, government relations, communications, and nonprofit management.
Zwirn’s prior experience includes progressively senior roles in program and fundraising responsibilities in conservation, humanitarian, and development work in the United States, Southeast Asia, Russia, East Africa, and the Middle East, at the Wild Salmon Center, Wildlife Alliance, Marine Conservation Institute, Adeso, and the Conservation Law Foundation. He was recently the Director of Foundation Relations at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, working with 14 regional and thematic programs to identify new funding opportunities and guide cultivation and solicitation strategies.
