The Facts on Fracking: A Podcast with Daniel Raimi

Feb 7, 2018 | Peter Nelson, Daniel Raimi

In this podcast, RFF Senior Research Associate Daniel Raimi discusses his new book The Fracking Debate, part of the Columbia Center on Global Energy Policy series from Columbia University Press.

Drawing on both scholarly literature and his travels to every major oil- and gas-producing region in the United States, Raimi gives a balanced and accessible view of oil and gas development, thoroughly explaining the key issues surrounding the shale revolution.

He specifically addresses economic impacts, both at the local and national levels; environmental and health risks, such as water contamination; and implications for greenhouse gas emissions and energy policy.
