Jeremy Schreifels's research focuses on China's climate, energy, and environmental challenges and the policies and institutions intended to address those challenges. His work explores the use of incentives, including emission trading programs, to control air pollution and greenhouse gases.

Schreifels has worked with governments in Asia, Europe, and North and South America to design emissions measurement, emissions control, and efficiency programs that are appropriate for the characteristics of the country and the environmental and energy programs.

Schreifels is in RFF’s Energy and Climate Program.
