Ziyan (Jessica) Chu was trained as an environmental scientist and holds a master’s degree in environmental science from Yale University and a master’s degree in ecology from Zhejiang University in China. She has extensive experience and expertise using ArcGIS and brings that to related projects on shale gas, risk mitigation, tropical deforestation, and others. With the combination of a scientific background and work researching environmental economics topics, Chu has coauthored several publications in top journals, including the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences and Environmental Science & Technology.

Chu is in RFF’s Land, Water, and Nature Program.
