With over 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, Lea Harvey has focused the majority of her career on fundraising and outreach for leading environmental, capacity building, and policy organizations. She began her career as associate director of the Council of Growing Companies, a professional association for chief executives of middle market firms, transitioning then to senior associate with The Greenway Group, a nonprofit management consulting and publishing firm. From 1998 to 2005, Harvey held key positions at World Wildlife Fund, including director of foundation and corporate relations. From 2005 to 2008, she was vice president for development at BoardSource, an organization dedicated to strengthening the nonprofit sector through effective governance and leadership. With her enthusiasm for nonprofit management and fundraising, combined with a commitment to informed and rational environmental policy, she joined Resources for the Future in 2008 as vice president for development and corporate secretary. Harvey holds a BA in art history with a minor in nonprofit management from Sweet Briar College.
