Biography
Since 1996, Anderson has worked at RFF as a journalist-in-residence. He writes for RFF publications, mainly on issues related to climate change, energy, and air quality.

Prior to working at RFF, Anderson worked for The Washington Post from 1957 to 1996. He held a variety of reporting and editing jobs, but wrote mainly for the editorial page, frequently on economic, energy, and environmental topics.

For most of his career Anderson worked as a newspaper reporter, writing for earlier small papers in Pennsylvania, The York Dispatch and The Reading Times. He served in the U.S. Army from 1946 to 1948 and received an American Political Science Association congressional fellowship in 1956.
