Steven Witkin

Research Analyst

Steven Witkin's research focuses on analyzing the effects of policy alternatives on the future of the electricity sector. At RFF, he develops the Engineering, Economic, and Environmental Electricity Simulation Tool (E4ST), a detailed model of the electricity sector which considers the environmental, health, and market effects of policies. He graduated from The Johns Hopkins University in May 2020 with a master's degree in applied mathematics and statistics. His experiences prior to RFF involved applying modeling and optimization to a variety of topics, including fuel supply chains, minor league baseball schedules, and Mali's food markets.
