2015 Revenue and Expenses Breakdown


In fiscal year 2015, RFF’s operating revenue was $12.9 million, 76 percent of which came from individual contributions, foundation grants, corporate contributions, and government grants and contracts. RFF augments its income by an annual withdrawal from its reserve fund to support operations. At the end of fiscal year 2015 the reserve fund was valued at $54 million.


RFF research and educational programs continued to be vital in 2015, representing 69 percent of total expenses. Management and administration, combined with development expenses, were 21 percent of the total. Building operations expenses related to space leased to other nonprofit organizations were 10 percent.
