RFF Welcomes Two New Fellows
WASHINGTON—Two accomplished scholars—Anthony Liu and Zhongmin Wang—will join Resources for the Future (RFF) as new Fellows in September.
“Anthony and Zhongmin truly stood out for their academic achievements in public finance and industrial organization, and their dedication to understanding environmental issues on a global scale,” said RFF Vice President for Research and Senior Fellow Molly Macauley. “They will help strengthen RFF’s academic depth in their fields, and their interest and expertise in environmental and energy issues in China will build additional bridges for RFF there.”
Anthony Liu, who will receive a Ph.D. in economics from the University of California, San Diego, will divide his time in the coming year between serving as a Fellow at RFF and completing a research fellowship on environmental issues at the Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business in China. Liu also has also worked at the Shanghai Academy of Development, the Brookings Institution, Charles River Associates, and RedWhale Software Corporation. He holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Stanford.
Zhongmin Wang is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Northeastern University. He focuses on industrial organization, applied microeconomics, energy and regulatory economics, and information economics.
