Annie McDarris

Media and Communications Specialist

Annie McDarris, who joined RFF in 2020, is the organization's media and communications specialist. She helps make RFF's research accessible to the general public by working with journalists, writing press releases, and furthering RFF's communication goals. McDarris graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she earned a dual degree in science communication. Before coming to RFF, McDarris worked for the National Park Service at the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the Flathead Lake Biological Research Station in northwest Montana, and for UNC-CH's Research Communications Office. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, hiking, and visiting Washington DC's iconic museums.
