Anne McDarris

Media Relations Associate

Anne McDarris joined RFF in 2020 as an intern before becoming the organization's media relations associate. She helps make RFF's research accessible to the general public by working with journalists, writing press releases, and furthering RFF's communication goals. McDarris recently graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she earned a dual degree in science communication after completing her thesis on ecological threats to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Before coming to RFF, McDarris worked for the National Park Service, the Flathead Lake Biological Research Station in northwest Montana, and for UNC-CH's Research Communications Office. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, hiking, and visiting Washington DC's iconic museums.
