Reforming Institutions and Managing Extremes:
US Policy Approaches for Adapting to a Changing Climate

"It's clear from this assessment that adapting to a changing climate will be a front-burner issue at all levels of government. Many current policies are ill-suited to deal with the kind of changes that we might expect to see over the next decades and budgets are already stretched thin. The good news is that there are a lot of sensible strategies available. Many are economically beneficial on their own terms and these might be the ones for highest priority to enable this country to prepare effectively for an uncertain future."
