Kate Leary

Development Writer

As the Development Writer, Kate Leary is responsible for producing compelling content for RFF's supporters and ensuring that the organization’s unique voice and values carry through in communications with funders. She collaborates with research staff to write grant applications, proposals, and reports, and works with communications staff to prepare other strategic development materials. Her role involves translating research findings for external audiences, as well as generating internal development content, and she also serves as a resource to the President and senior leadership.

Leary joined RFF from the Center for International Policy, where she held a variety of roles in her 5+ years with the organization. Her previous experience also includes working with the UN Economic Commission for Latin America, Church World Service, and the County Council of Montgomery County, MD. Leary is a Maryland native and now lives in DC.
