Manjiri Deshmukh is a Research Associate at RFF. Manjiri earned her Master of Environmental Management from Duke University in 2026, concentrating in Energy and Environmental Economics and Policy. In 2025, she interned at the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF), researching the effects of the EU’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) on developing countries like India. Before moving to the US, she worked as an ESG Ratings Analyst in Mumbai, India, and earned her Master of Science in Agribusiness Economics. Across this multidisciplinary academic and professional path, her resolve to work through complex economic and environmental problems has remained a consistent focus.
