Resilient Energy Economies | Public Opinion on Energy Transition and Economic Development in Fossil Fuel-Dependent Communities
RSVPEvent Details
Policymakers in fossil fuel-dependent regions across the United States are exploring a variety of options to strengthen their economies, from job training programs to renewable energy development, to environmental remediation. But what energy and economic development strategies do community members in these regions want to see? Join two leading researchers as they discuss their recent findings based on surveys and interviews with residents in fossil fuel-producing communities across 18 states, the Navajo Nation, and the Jicarilla Apache Nation. Presenters will discuss how community members view the energy transition and how their preferences can inform federal, state, tribal, and local policymaking.
