As policymakers across the country consider strategies to build economic resilience in fossil fuel-producing communities, we can learn important lessons from analyzing programs that have already been implemented. What’s worked so far, what hasn’t, and why? In this webinar, three researchers will discuss their work examining the effectiveness of local, regional, and federal efforts to support economic development and diversification in fossil fuel-dependent communities, discussing policies and programs from Washington State, the Appalachian Regional Commission, and the federal Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Inflation Reduction Act.
