ENERGY ACT’S IMPACT: A recent study by Resources for the Future found that funding for research, development and demonstration in advanced energy technologies (carbon capture, advanced nuclear and direct air capture to name a few) mirroring those under last year’s Energy Act would have a number of social benefits outnumbering costs, including on electricity consumer costs, health and climate — from 7 to 10 times the costs of the technologies.
