The Atlantic's climate newsletter cites a recent RFF analysis about the consumer savings that could arise from the Inflation Reduction Act.
One of the most important results of the Inflation Reduction Act is that it should cut off that cycle almost before it begins. A new study from Resources for the Future, a D.C.-based think tank, finds that the IRA is likely to cut consumer electricity prices in the U.S. almost regardless of natural-gas costs. The researchers expect the bill to save consumers about $170 to $220 a year.
