Resources for the Future, an environmental policy think tank, will fill in some of the policy void left by the Trump administration on climate change, leading an effort to update the social cost of carbon for use in state and local policy. 'What we're doing at RFF is, in effect, picking up the ball to ensure the recommendations made by a recent National Academies of Science report are acted upon,' said RFF president Richard Newell. 'The purpose is to make sure the methodologies and science used to underpin the social cost of carbon continue to be updated and improved over time.'
