Resources for the Future on today’s introduction of a carbon tax proposal
WASHINGTON—Today at the American Enterprise Institute, US Senators Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) and Brian Schatz (D-HI) unveiled their carbon tax proposal.
Statement by Resources for the Future (RFF) Senior Fellow Ray Kopp:
“Most economists agree that a proposal like this represents an optimally efficient way to achieve real carbon reductions. The senators deserve great credit for putting this before the public for full discussion and analysis.”
