Jesse Gourevitch

Jesse Gourevitch is an environmental economist and Fellow at Resources for the Future. His research focuses on the economic and financial risks associated with climate change, and seeks to understand the effectiveness of a range of strategies and policy interventions in managing these risks. This work primarily centers on the intersection of climate-related disaster risk and housing, insurance, and mortgage markets. Across all of his research, Jesse places a strong emphasis on evaluating distributional impacts among demographic and socioeconomic groups across the U.S. Prior to joining RFF, Jesse was an Economist at the Environmental Defense Fund. Jesse holds a Ph.D. in natural resources from the University of Vermont and B.A. in environmental studies from Carleton College.
