Overview
From the beginning, Resources for the Future (RFF) has been working dedicated to producing rigorous, independent, and academic research on the world’s most pressing environmental challenges. Today, RFF is the home for policy-relevant environmental research from quantifying the impacts of climate change; designing efficient, affordable, and sustainable electricity markets; determining the economic feasibility of new clean energy technologies; and so much more. But beyond legislatures and boardrooms, we want our research to help inform the next generation of economists, policymakers, and environmental scientists. Read on to learn more about RFF products that you can use in a classroom setting.

Unpacking Today’s Biggest Challenges

Our research is aimed at two main goals. The first is designing emissions-reductions strategies that are effective, efficient, equitable, and beneficial to the economy—strategies that drive climate progress across the whole economy, including solutions for all major sectors. The second is reducing risk and building resilience to ensure that policymakers have the information they need to build resilient and equitable communities, helping enable an effective transition to a cleaner economy for all people and communities.
